 In Manchester Center, Vermont the Zion Episcopal Church offers another great hikers hostel. There is also a good shoe cobbler in town who put my poor ole Mother Hubbard boots back together again! |
 This is the junction of the Long Trail and the Appalachian Trail. They both share the same trail in southern Vermont. |

 This is Galehead Hut in the White Mountains which is one of many huts run by the Appalachian Mountain Club. They have a traditional agreement with thru-hikers to help with various chores around the hut in exchange for good food and a soft bed. These are great folks! |
 This is the cog railway train on Mt.Washington, the oldest such railway in the world. Also at 6,288 feet Mt. Washington is the highest peak in New England. |
