My Hiking Itinerary
Although I began on the Mexican border with a four and a half month hiking schedule, the itinerary listed below is exactly as the hike unfolded...
In the first column is listed the date that I arrived in the town that is listed in the second column. In the third column is listed how I received my resupply food and other items, which I sometimes combined with my drift box that is listed in the fourth column. I used an empty 5 gallon plastic paint container (available at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc.) as my drift box which was very convenient with its wire handle. I mainly put consumables into my drift box such as esbit fuel tablets, film, batteries, etc. and extra food, then I sent it about 10 to 14 days ahead of myself.
